A17: Design and technical details

The external structure: It comes with a smooth curved design that resembles the shape of a violin or classic ink (Waisted Form), which is made of wood clad with a veneer that mimics turtle materials with reddish and gold brown.

Motifs and copper: The watch is completely inlaid with engraved and gilded copper intertwined plant motifs, based on carefully wrapped wavy copper legs.

Enamel (disc): It features a decorative copper floor containing cartouches, (Cartouches) of ceramic or white enamel, on which Roman numerals are black or dark blue.

Pendulum: The bottom of the enamel behind the door glass is a striking pendulum holding the design of the "sun's radiant disc"

(Sunburst Pendulum), a symbolic artistic tribute inherited from the era of the "Sun King" Louis XIV.

These watches are luxury classic decorative pieces, and modern versions (made in the twentieth century) often rely on German-made mechanical machines that work through manual key packaging and only one key is available.
